How to Use the Item Import Template FAQs

To import items, use the provided Excel template from your welcome email. Fill in the SKU, product description, packaging details, and any tracking preferences. Ensure SKUs match what’s on the box to avoid discrepancies. Once completed, upload the file, and our system will process the entries.

The first field you need to complete is the SKU number or part number for your product. This ensures accurate inventory tracking and order processing.

The Excel template includes an instruction tab for reference. Additionally, this video walks you through the entire process, making it easy to follow along.

The SKU in the import template must match the SKU on the product packaging. If there’s a mismatch, it may cause delays in receiving and order fulfillment.

You can track inventory using FIFO, LIFO, or FEFO methods. FIFO (First In, First Out) is the most commonly used, ensuring older stock ships first. LIFO (Last In, First Out) ships the most recent stock first, while FEFO (First Expired, First Out) prioritizes items with the nearest expiration date. If your product has a UPC, make sure it’s listed on the template to ensure accurate scanning. For lot tracking, serial tracking, or expiration dates, mark “True” in the respective columns. This ensures that 3PL Center tracks and ships inventory according to your specifications.
